FROM THE CO-EDITORS-IN-CHIEF

We are delighted to close Volume 27 of the International Journal of Arts Management with a strong set of academic research papers, practitioner perspectives, and case study.
This issue’s Editors’ Choice article, by Adrien Simonnot-Lanciaux, Paulin Gohoungodji, Alexis Perron-Brault, and Danilo Dantas, introduces a new approach to analyzing literature through spectroscopy and applies it to a comprehensive analysis of the literature on music marketing, focusing on the impact of foundational and seminal works and tracing the evolution of the literature stream over time.
This issue also features the AIMAC 2024 Best Management Paper by Margaux Vales, Yacine Ouazzani, and Mathilde Pulh. In a similar vein, these authors seek to synthesize the literature on how digital technology has shaped the performing arts by comparing the perspectives of academic researchers and practitioners. With such a time-sensitive topic, it is essential for researchers to stay abreast of the developments and challenges occurring in practice, leading to a need for stronger communication across the two domains.
The remaining Academic Research articles continue the theme of synthesizing knowledge through classification methodologies, with Cecilia Mereghetti and Sara Bonini Baraldi developing an automated textual analysis tool to examine the impact of cultural policy initiatives on subjective wellbeing and quality of life, Martinette Kruger, Adam Viljoen, and Bianca Manners conducting a segmentation analysis to examine generational differences among arts festival attendees, and Amos Chiya developing a typology of classical music festivals based on their social and cultural objectives.
In this issue’s Practitioner Perspectives article, Georgiana Vidican-Teohari, Laura Brancu, and Ladislau-Cristian Andris explore best practices for managing sustainability among German symphony orchestras using the triple bottom line framework. And in this issue’s Case Study, Amanda Tobin Ripley tells the historical case of the origins of the first labor union of art museum professionals in the United States, Pasta MoMA, which was established in 1971.
We are also excited to announce the official launch of IJAM’s new online submission system! From now on, manuscripts should be submitted to IJAM using this link: https://revue.hec.ca/index.php/ijam/login.
